Micaela and I met in college. She was a year ahead of me in school but since we both played sports and had a lot of mutual friends, ours paths crossed frequently. Although we were more acquaintances in college we remained connected after we both graduated. We saw each other at random get togethers and weddings. I remember feeling that there was always “something” about Micaela but neither of us ever acted on it. It wasn’t until Micaela was interviewing for residency in Denver, where I was living at the time, that our timing was finally right. We’ve been together ever since!
Even though I wanted to date her in college, I’m so glad it never happened, because we both were able to become confident and independent on our own, which now makes our relationship so much stronger.
Timing is a ✨magical✨ thing! What’s YOUR love story?! I’d love to hear! If you feel inclined share below!

October 24, 2018 at 12:05 pmHi Raffinee,
I’ve been following your family on Instagram for a little while. I would love more details on how you two asked each other out, how you decided to marry and the conversation about having children. I’m intrigued by details. ❤️

November 8, 2018 at 4:27 pmHi Raff! This is such a beautiful/ lovely blog!
My cousin is currently 15 and is going through this process, and she said she’s known she was gay from around her younger adolescence… and this makes sense to me because you’re born with it, it’s not a choice, but my family doesnt’ get it and im trying to help my cousin by making my family understand… what age did you know? I’m sorry if that’s such a personal question..also any advice to help my cousin?
Many thanks 🙂
