If you have been here awhile you know that when we moved two years ago we went with the best moving company in the Bay Area- California Movers. (If you missed it you can read that post HERE!) They did such a phenomenal job the first time, they were the obvious choice for us on this move.
Admittedly we were a little bit weary about moving during a pandemic. People from outside our household now having to come inside our house, worrying about mask wearing- I mean you get the idea! When I called to inquire about their availability, the first thing we spoke about was their Covid safety precautions. Their manager, Anton, reassured me that all of their movers would wear N95 masks, maintain social distance, stay indoors for as little time as possible, and practice vigilant hand hygiene on top of wearing gloves. Additionally, each moving truck is wiped down with disinfectant after each move and each team member is checked routinely for Covid symptoms. Hearing how seriously they were taking Covid precautions, we felt they made it as safe as possible to move during a pandemic.
One of my favorite services that California Movers offers is their packing service! As a mom of three toddlers, time is at a premium and I struggled to get everything packed in time before move day. Luckily, they were able to help me day of pack up my last minute items quickly and safely.
Speaking of efficiency, we had a team of four guys at our house to get everything packed into a 26 foot truck. At our previous house we had three bedrooms, one bath, a garage and patio furniture. About half of the kitchen still needed to be packed and all the mirrors and televisions were still mounted on the walls. They packed my kitchen, disassembled all of the beds, took town our mirror and television mounts! The crew arrived at 9am and we were fully packed, truck loaded, and ready to roll out around 2pm.
When we arrived to our new place, their moving team got to work immediately. Not only did the put boxes in their proper rooms, they also set up everything they had disassembled. We didn’t do the full ‘copy paste’ service like we did last time (read more about that HERE!) but I appreciated that they offered to come pick up all our boxes and packing supplies once we were done unpacking.
Although California Movers is based in California, they provide relocation services nationwide! If you are planning on moving or relocating I cannot recommend California Movers and their moving services enough!
